The Mansion is a Texas Historic Landmark, an Austin Historic Landmark and is listed with the National Register of Historic places. It was designed to be the state headquarters for the Texas Federation of Women's Clubs. The Mansion is adjacent to the Neill-Cochran House, built in 1855, and acts as a cornerstone to the historic Judge's Hill neighborhood, a few blocks west of the University of Texas campus. It is convenient to Lamar Boulevard, Mopac Expressway and IH 35, and is a short drive from restaurants, churches, bed and breakfasts, and hotels.
Directions from I-35:
Go west on 26th street (aka Dean Keeton) until it dead-ends into Guadalupe
Street. Go left on Guadalupe. Turn right on 24th street. The Fed is on the
left at the corner of 24th and San Gabriel street. You can park in the
neighborhood or in the parking lot of Freewheeling Bicycles.
Directions from Mopac (aka Loop 1):
Go east on Windsor Rd. Windsor will turn into 24th street after you cross
over Lamar. The Fed will be on your right at the corner of 24th and San
Gabriel street. You can park in the neighborhood or in the parking lot of
Freewheeling Bicycles.

Take Exit 230 to Ben White Boulevard (TX-71 West / US-290 West). Go west
on Ben White Boulevard to the light at South Congress Avenue. Take a right
(north) on South Congress Avenue. Go 0.3 miles to Alpine Road East and take
a right. Go up the hill (past Expose) and turn into the drive on the left.
Directions from Mopac (aka Loop 1):
Go south on Mopac and take the LEFT exit for Loop 360. This will merge with
Hwy 290. Continue on 290 and take the Congress Avenue exit. Take a left
(north) on South Congress Avenue. Go 0.3 miles to Alpine Road East and take
a right. Go up the hill (past Expose) and turn into the drive on the left.
